Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC)
Property coefficient which indicates the extent of resistance increases corresponding to the temperature increases when a set temperature is reached. Positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor is one of the N-type semiconductor with electric conductivity which has BaTiO3 as a main component and is added with a small amount of dopant. Application area includes various products which need temperature control (sensing), temperature compensation, prevention of overheating, prevention of heater overcurrent, and motor operation delay circuit.
